Singer Bruno Mars’ mom dies

Singer Bruno Mars‘ mom died unexpectedly Saturday, according to reports.

Entertainment news website TMZ.com reported that the mother of Grammy-award winning singer Bruno Mars died on Saturday due to brain aneurysm.

Philippine-born Bernadette Hernandez, 55, died of a brain aneurysm at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was earlier reported to have been taken to hospital Friday after a suspected heart attack.

Bruno Mars was scheduled to go on a tour in the U.S. later this month. No word on whether the death will affect the concert schedule.
